No More Stooping – Refrigerator Replacement

We've replaced our Norcold refrigerator on IBIS (NP43-24) with an Italian made Vitrifrigo AC/DC stainless steel drawer refrigerator (Model #DW250BTXAC). The Vitrifrigo has an upper door (left or right opening - 5.5 cu ft) and a lower pull-out drawer (2.6 cu ft). The unit has two compressors, one for each refrigerator/freezer compartment and separate temperature controls. Four adjustable shelves and internal LED light are included in the upper compartment and basket provides flexible storage in the lower drawer. The unit can also be ordered with a built-in ice maker in the pull-out drawer. It's ultra quite and looks great in our galley.

The DW250BTXAC is ½ inch wider and 3 inches shorter than the space required for the original equipped Norcold. We cut ¼ inch off each side of the enclosure and propped up the Vitrifrigo 3 inches on wooden blocks and filled in the bottom with matching wood. Two AC outlets were already wired and a 2nd DC line was installed. Removal and instillation took 6 hours.
